Sestak Lighting Design is proud to share that founder Michael Sestak has been featured by Signify, the world’s leading lighting company and the name behind Philips and Color Kinetics, as part of the sixth edition of its renowned Burlington Sessions.
The Burlington Sessions are an invitation-only gathering hosted by Signify and the Lighting Academy, bringing together a small, hand-selected group of internationally recognized lighting artists and designers. These hands-on “CoCreate” sessions give participants early access to Signify’s emerging technologies and invite them to experiment, explore, and help shape the future of how light is used in our built environments. Past participants have included designers behind projects as iconic as the Empire State Building.
For the sixth edition, held in June 2025, Michael was one of just eight designers featured from around the globe, joining peers from Portugal, the United States, and across Europe. As part of the series, Signify produced a video profile in which Michael shares the philosophy behind his work: using light as a medium to transform both residential spaces and the civic and commercial landmarks that define a community’s nighttime experience.
Being invited into this circle places Michael and Sestak Lighting Design in conversation with some of the most forward-thinking lighting minds in the world, a recognition that reflects 25 years of treating light not simply as a utility, but as an art form.
